Why choose us?
1. Key Considerations for International Moving Packing & Preparation
1. Document & Certificate Preparation
Important Document Backup: Scan and back up passports, ID cards, visas, and other vital documents. Keep originals in a waterproof, fireproof bag and carry them with you; store copies separately in labeled boxes. Also organize property certificates, vehicle registration, and other asset documents.
Customs Documentation: Understand destination country customs regulations and prepare required documents, including a detailed inventory (item name, quantity, value), purchase receipts, and certificates. Special items like artworks or antiques may need appraisal or authorization certificates.
2. Item Screening & Classification
Determine Items to Move: Carefully select essential items due to high international moving costs. Low-value or replaceable items (old daily supplies, cheap furniture) can be sold, donated, or discarded.
Classification: Sort items by type, use, and fragility – kitchenware, clothing, electronics, fragile goods (glass, ceramics), furniture, etc. Subclassify further for easier packing and unpacking.
3. Packing Material Selection
High-Quality Boxes: Use strong, durable cartons. Use small sturdy boxes for heavy items like books. Standard sizes (40×30×30cm, 50×40×40cm) enable stable stacking and transport.
Cushioning Materials: Bubble wrap protects fragile items. Use cardboard to cover sharp edges before wrapping. Newspaper and old clothing fill gaps to prevent movement during transit.
Tape & Labels: Use strong tape to secure boxes. Label clearly with contents, target room, and handling instructions such as “Fragile”.
4. Detailed Packing Guidelines
Clothing: Fold and pack in vacuum compression bags to save space and prevent moisture. Use wardrobe boxes for formal wear, suits, and dresses.
Kitchenware: Wrap dishes and utensils and place vertically to avoid pressure damage. Drain small appliances, secure cords, and wrap with bubble wrap.
Fragile Items: Fill hollow items with soft materials, wrap in multiple layers of bubble wrap, and fully cushion boxes. Mark “FRAGILE – HANDLE WITH CARE” prominently.
Furniture: Disassemble when possible, bag and label small parts. Wrap components with blankets, bubble wrap, or plastic film to prevent scratches. Protect edges and corners carefully.
5. Shipping & Insurance Arrangements
Choose Transport Method: Select sea, air, or land freight based on volume, weight, and urgency. Sea freight is economical but slower; air freight is fast but more expensive.
Purchase Insurance: International shipping carries risks of loss or damage. Buy full-coverage cargo insurance, review terms carefully, and understand coverage, deductibles, and claims process.
